Refund & Return Policy – OccasionKart Cakes

At OccasionKart, we take pride in delivering freshly baked cakes and personalized gifts to make your occasions memorable. Each product is crafted with care and delivered with the utmost attention to quality and freshness.
However, as cakes and desserts are perishable items, our refund and return policy differs from that of non-perishable products. Please read the following terms carefully before placing an order.


1. Cancellation Policy

  • Orders can be cancelled within 1 hour of placing the order only if the cake has not entered the baking or preparation stage.
  • To request a cancellation, please email us at support@occasionkart.com or contact our customer support team with your order number.
  • Once the cake has been baked, decorated, or dispatched for delivery, cancellations are not accepted.

2. Returns Policy

Since cakes and desserts are made-to-order perishable goods, returns are not accepted after delivery.
However, if you receive a damaged, incorrect, or spoiled product, please contact us within 2 hours of delivery with clear photos or videos showing the issue.
We will review the case promptly and offer one of the following resolutions:

  • A replacement cake of the same value (subject to availability and delivery area), or
  • A full or partial refund issued to your original payment method.

3. Refund Policy

Refunds are processed in the following cases:

  • Order cancelled within 1 hour (and before preparation).
  • Non-delivery due to service failure (e.g., if we are unable to deliver due to unforeseen issues).
  • Product quality issue verified by our team (e.g., damaged or incorrect item).

Refunds will be processed within 5–7 business days after confirmation. The time for the amount to reflect in your account may vary depending on your payment provider.


4. Incorrect Address or Recipient Unavailability

  • If the recipient is unavailable, or the delivery address is incorrect/incomplete, we will attempt to contact you for clarification.
  • If delivery cannot be completed due to incorrect information, refunds will not be issued, as products are perishable and cannot be reused.

5. Delivery Delays

While we make every effort to deliver on your chosen date and time, occasional delays due to weather, traffic, or third-party courier issues may occur.

  • Delays beyond our control do not qualify for a refund, unless the order is undelivered within 24 hours of the scheduled time.

6. Custom or Themed Cakes

For customized cakes (photo cakes, theme designs, etc.):

  • Once the design and details are confirmed, no changes or cancellations can be made.
  • Refunds are not applicable for customer dissatisfaction based on design or taste preferences once approved and delivered as per order specifications.
